Currently have a 1966 1300 with a very noisey generator bearing or fan bearing. Has anyone got a good second
hand one they'd like to sell?

Its a 12v system. Had a closer look, its almost like the cooling fan has free play on the shaft. If you spin it one way and lock the pulley with your hand you hear it jar..

sounds like the key is warn pull it apart and have a gander cheeper than buying another one or it may have cracked the fan even the nut may be loose
the best thing is to remove the genny and look

check side screws on fan housing aint loose
if u yank the housing or push it while spinning the genny you may find it touches the fan////this may be ur prob/ also
