If you simply gave your dub a rub with soap, took it for a run right through to putting in a new powerplant. Share your effort with an update here of how your lovin your dub.
This is not a tech thread. Go into detail in the tech section. It's an update of how your lovin your dub.

Me and DaVo installed the glass in my 72 resto project today. Should of taken about two hours but with me and Dave gas bagging, it took most of the day. All went in with little hassle. So happy!
made up some [mounts] cardboard templates to fit the 091 into the bug
Pulled the clutch servo unit out of my semi-auto and found out that the two spares I have, have also got torn diaphragms! So now I have to order parts from the USA of Americaland. And yesterday I drilled and tapped a temperature sender into the block of my Baja.
If you said I was a Volkswagen man, you'd be right.
Stripped the running gear out of rusty 73 kombi and got the shell taken away ready for the next big thing 🥷

What he said
🙂 Nowhere near as hard as we thought and they fit just perfect. My rubber's are being replaced next weekend
😍 along with my chrome bonnet strip and hopefully put on a set of VW mudflaps. Might sort out the electrical monstrocity that's behind my dash tomorrow and just have a general tinker.

after work i put a couple of hours into tiding and reorganising my shed. not glamorous but satisfying (and overdue). them had another go at a stuck bolt that is holding me up.
Today I played 'researcher' and 'networked' with the local community.
Headed off to Wallsend where I met Andrew and friends, then Berisfield where there was Rolf and about 20odd other dubbers. Then Maitland to meet Rose and Ian with a total of about 40 or 50 dubbers from all over. Port Stephens, Sydney, further west and the local traps.
It was great to meet people, photograph the dubs and chat VW's. Sat and had lunch with CamperPhil and took a few photos.
Gave me some great ideas and made me think long and hard about just what needs to be done and in what order to the 64' I just bought.

I hope to pick up the 64' this weekend. I also start a new job on Monday so it's all oars out and full steam ahead.
Picks soon.

Today i learnt how to do the valve clearances for the beetle but then stripped the wheel nut on the Peugeot 307 and had to spend $120 to get someone to take it off 4 hours later 😬 Good waste of a afternoon.
Now taking donations to help make a Beetle healthy again 😂
i um.... touched my beetle 😀
drove it around today to do some stuff for my parents.
touched it some more....
Went to office works....
touched it some more ....
Drove home... a little more touching 😀
kekekeke
i love it, even driving it makes me happy, even with everything stock as a rock, it still puts a smile on my face 😀
well today i simply gave the 1776cc a hiding.......normal day 😀
I drove around to several of the jobs today without the trailer on (with about 3/4 of a ton of tools in it) - the 1916 is so much more fun when set free. I should do it more often.
From your ole' mate Jeff
I do at least one thing on the bug everyday, no matter how small or trivial and that leads to more, today just trying to get the motor running better.
