Cant believe its 10.45am and there has not been one post in this section today (04/09/09). I said back in July that this site had slowed down and this proves it.

Whats going on.

What can we do to pick things up ????? I know we aren't as big a community on VW as the yanks, but there are so many posts on one of their sites (wont mention one) that its hard to keep up with them all.

as far as that popular yank site goes, its got to do with population. Theres just so many more people into VW's there.

Maybe stop checking the site every hour and it will feel much more busy when you log on😂

Perhaps it is a case of these little reliable air cooled engined cars just keep going and going and don't need things fixing as often as other cars?

The community here is nice the way it is in my opinion, I say change nothing.

Just my 2 cents worth.

its because I had to move desks at work. I'm now in the smae building on the same floor as my boss. My back now faces out to the corridor at the top of the stairs. I cant get on AVD anymore without risk of being clipped over the ear 🙁

I don't know about anyone else but the site has gone really slow on both my computers (just AVD) and I'm getting the sh*ts, its like i'm on oldschool dialup.

Yeah, some of us have to work (not me for much longer tho) just do what one of my employees does and thinks I don't know, put a mirror on your desk (old vbub rear view mirror?) then you can see who's coming up behind you.😂

I noticed that as well and put it down to just being the old computer I am using at the moment,

forum seems to run quite fast if you just browse it without loggin on.

Yup i used to check out the site daily but since the log on thing that would be more like weekly (if that). Sounds funny but it's a pain in the ass.

but We can't be on here all the time... lol
I very rarely look at the samba... as it can take all day.. 😂😊 I will admit I haven't been on every day and as much as I used to be...
I rarely touch My computer until after 8PM or Later... also, My Son has been using My computer the past months but He has His own now...
but he runs out of GBs towards the end of the month.... lol

I know a lot of VW owners who work on their cars etc but very rarely [some never] ever Post or comment on a thread on AVD...

But they do read AVD...
as they comment now and then about things on here...

Am i the only person that doesnt really care about the login issue? The majority of browsers can auto-complete your login and password so it is just a matter of pressing one button when you visit the site. Not to hard lol

On every other forum I visit , I'm logged in automatically...
but for some reason...
it doesn't happen on AVD..
even on e bay I just put my user name and the password is always there...

Yep, in a previouse life I was loged on automaticaly each time I visited AVD, not now tho, once I log on I stay loged on tho so I don't have the problem others are reporting of log in droping out, it's not realy a big deal loging on just user name and pass word, what's so hard about that, I'm a happy little vegemite here.😍
