have you got one laying around in your shed???

not sure if the original bellhousing is just redrilled or an adapter plate is made up to suit?

i have a superbug Lseries IRS back end

Hi
All Nissan L series engines are the same bolt pattern but the 2 litre crank has an extra bolt so you have to have the correct flywheel, 2 litre or 16 / 1800. There is an adaptor plate that bolts to all swing axle and IRS gearboxes. Use the VW starter and clutch assembly that suits the gearbox, and the flywheel. Watch the Nissan fuel pump, they’re trouble, and don’t run without the thermostat. Have fun.

Daniel,

Not sure whether you're still looking, but I'll have an NIssan L20B to 1800 Kombi bell housing adaptor plate available soon after Xmas if you're interested - it's coming out of my racing buggy, as I've got an SR20 lined up to replace the L20. Not sure whether the 1800 bell housing is the same bolt pattern as the L-Bug tranny, but someone on this site should be able to confirm either way.
