Stuck on a very fat, low, shiny and not to mention FAST bug being driven around the southern suburbs of Sydney... like THAT's not gonna attract attention !!!
"Honestly officer... I wasn't advertising for a race... I'm just trying to sell my car..."
😂
I had never thought of that!.......makes sense now 🤪
good luck with the sale Mick.
Personally I would go the enjoy it for a bit and let it sell itself route.....
.....the more sorting and testing you do the less "chance" a new buyer has to risk. Get the turbo issue sorted and tuned accordingly.......IMO
the smaller turbo works quite well for street actually. Ask STIDUB, makes the car very responsive, but yeh, the option is there toi go for the full 200kw(atw)

Not with that standard gearbox....it wont hold it🙅
ahh keep the vw and just rent your empty rooms out to Japanese uni students😂🤪😂
They pay good money, as rooms are hard to get.
AND on weekends take em on tours of OZ in your vw for a small fee.😂🤪😂
Like they do with those oz trikes joy rides at the Blue Mountains.
bump
😂🤪😂🤪😂
car forums. where a lot of peoples good intentions end up taking a good old car off the road forever never ever to see the road again. 🥲
yeh, ok i guess - a few calls/pm's, but i've been lazy/busy to be honest. I was suppose to meet a guy 2 mondays ago who was quite keen, but just got too busy with other work and other commitments. Did take it for a spin yesterday though - still grinning. Partly tempted to keep it so im not trying to hard...😀
Just find ANY excuse to miss potential buyers meetings- forever.

Alright, my mind is made up. Making my decision in light of 'the greater good'. Too much money sitting in the garage which could be used very wisely elsewhere. At this stage im stripping the whole car and will be keeping the shell and pan only for a rainy day. Its too good to sell for nothing. Unless someone offers me a good price for pan and shell, ill be keeping it.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS NOW FOR SALE - EVERY PART. Let me know what you want and make some offers. First in best dressed. Pricing will be less than what i paid, but not for nothing.
Please have patience in replies to pm's, as i assume there will be a few...
Mate, this is not to upset u but really u aint goin to make a shitload back in the pocket!
As much as i hate to say this if it was aircooled u would be better of.....
this is a real shame and i know! i lost a shit load
mick, i just came across your post, i can believe your selling it but i guess family comes first but would be good to store it away for a while, good luck mate
BEING ASPIRATED FEELS GREAT BUT BEING BLOWN TAKES THING TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL....
Craig Torrens6 times Australian, 7 times State Hillclimb Class Champion
I'm sure i'll be bitten again one day 🙂 Be helpful having a beautiful 58 shell on 68 pan when that time comes
