Is there anyway of lengthening a throttle cable?
The cable in my beetle is about 20mm too short but I don't really want to take the old one out unless I really have to

Cheers
Mike

Its not broken, its standard length.
The carbie I'm using has the same style connector just the linkage is slightly further away.

Sorry to sound like a complete moron, but what sort of joiners do I need to use?

i think holley make a extension piece that attaches to the standard cable end with a grub screw, you could try a carbie specialist to see if they could get one for you, i had one that i used on a holley bug spray years ago.

As vwo60 above but I'd also try a vw shop. It's a cable extender, one simple fitting, a grub screw and a longer shaft, prolly about 40mm overall.
