Not sure if this will do. I have a spare 2002 STI fuel pump controller. You can have it for $50.

Hey Lovebuggy. Could you please take a photo of the plug that connects to the controller? I just need to see if the wiring agrees with that of the twin turbo. Cheers.

well you're right on that one colonel mustard. dad and i (mainly dad) have spent the past 4 weeks trying to sort it out. and i made dad's job a lot harder by trying to retain most of the electrics from the half cut liberty. we've kept the instrument cluster, steering column switches, cooling fans, fuses, relays and other random push button switches. hopefully we'll be able to turn the engine over in 2/3 weeks time so i'll let you know how the wiring really went.

wouldnt mind getting rid of the whole lot... if its any use to you, will try to see if its got the module attached when im there next (having a lil bit of a shed clear out)

umm...i think i wont need the loom as i pulled the entirety from a half cut. well the cooling and fuel lines aren't in yet - we are just going use some pre-exisitng components and just test it all out first.

the fuel control module is part of the rear wiring harness plug r122 (i think) - if that helps.

cheers

thanks a lot for that Lovebuggy. hmmm interesting. sorry to be a jerk but how many wires are actually going into that plug. colours vs pin positions would be fantastic if that wouldn't be asking for too much.

why subaru...why!!!

Alright boys, with the aid the photo, I've done some more research. WRX engines use a 6 pin fuel pump control module whereas my GTB uses a 5 pin. I wouldn't even be able to 'trick' the module because two of its wires go to the computer. So...

Lovebuggy - thanks alot for all your help however the unit is not compatible with my ECU.
STIDUB - if you could have a look for the module that would be excellent.

Hi,

Bring this one up again. So does anyone have a fuel pump control module for a 1999 Subaru GT-B? I might consider other 5 pin Subaru fuel pump control modules.

Cheers,
Rob
