G'day Its many years since I last built a buggy and I have forgotten much of the lingo that surrounds VW parts and people.

Is there a kit available to fit 1970 combi front disks to a link pin front beam.
I do not want to have wide 5 rims and drums on the front and the small 5 stud rims on the rear ( bus gear box and swing arms)

Cheers

Hi, you moght be better of with a beetle disc brake conversion kit with blank rotors so you can have them drilled for the kombi stud pattern, they would be a lot lighter and that would keep the unsprung weight down

That sounds interesting. who does this conversion kit in Au or do I import from US?

By the way thanks for the quick response

Hi, I bring all my parts in from the states and i will give you a example of the cost difference, a CB performance rear disc brake kit to suit my car, $249US plus shipping, from a famous shop here, $900AUS plus GST=$990AUS, you will have to allow for freight and the aussie dollar is getting very good at the moment, get a price here before you order from the states so you can compare the finnal price, if you get it from the states get it sent USPS.

I took your advise, I have been looking at a few US sites and the prices are better than I used to pay 25 years ago. I find the info on some like Moore parts for instance a little lacking on detail. Do you have a site that you would recommend, Pacific customs seems to be good price wise.
Thanks for the help
Cheers

Mercedes benz is the same as a kombi, you can buy blank rotors and drill them to suit your application.

Yep thats the plan now but I would like some bigger rims for the rear.
Price on the discs was less than half the AU price landed here so I will be importing them from the US.
