Sorry if I have the name wrong guys (El Loco Gringo's ?)...well done for making the trek up to Qld again to support the event, hope you have a safe trip back, it was great watching you guys racing this year!
Al
Thanks Al for the kind words and the video, unfortunatly on that run Andrew in the grey 56 broke the crank shaft.
We all got home safe late last night but from Goondawindi
to Narrabri the weather was just awfull, so much rain.
Thanks to Craig and the Warwick crew for a great weekend under trying conditions.
Hope to see everyone at Portland. Michael

right rear guard , right rear rim & tyre , right front rim & tyre , front beam assembly , fibreglass one piece front-end , right rear trailing arm , right outer CV joint .
We found that Bens car had a broken right outer kombi Cv joint and suspect that this may have broken on his 1st to 2nd gear change , sending the WPVW drag bug into the wall (not a track grip issue as most people thought)
Ben is Ok and we are keen to repair his bug and have him back on the track ASAP .
Had a ball this year, many thanks to Craig, the staff at Warwick dragway, all the other competitors, and my good friends and crew at W.P.V.W. Looking forward to getting the vee set up a little better for next year. But i was stocked at my et of 7.1 @ 103.45mph hope all got home safely ...Chris
Just arrived home myself-what a great time and a well run event.Big congrats to the local people for running such a smooth event with all the weather dramas. Was good to catch up with the Melbourne gang and got some good info from some new contacts.Guess I will have to get to Portland. Here's hoping Rod will have the new "Beast" finished.
Michael did a skid and then a little later a skid and a launch. I would assume someone might have a vid but I didn't. (what Matt said ... a minute before me)

and not to mention those dodgy characters we saw hanging around the Coachman's Inn late saturday night up to no good!! We should have stopped and sorted that lot out except the passengers had a few too many amber cordials.......
ACCEPT THAT SOME DAYS YOU ARE THE PIDGEON AND SOME DAYS YOU ARE THE STATUE
A big Thank you to Craig and VWMA for organising another great weekend. A lot of time and energy goes into organising these types of events and we really appreciate your effort Craig.
Also a big thanks to the Warwick Drag Club and all their staff. They worked tirelessly on Saturday through the rain intervals to keep the cars on the track and Sunday they didn't stop to make sure the event ran through to completion.
Well done to all the competitors for getting out there. These events will only continue through support and participation. It would be great to see the same sort of numbers supporting the Portland event.
Thanks to all the CBB crew who helped me throughout the weekend. I cant race without assistance and your help, enthusiasm and friendship means a great deal to me, especially when i was driving like a Grandma (thanks for the video Al - DasDubber).
Looking forward to hitting the track again soon and seeing everyone at Portland.
you got that old lady thing right.just kidding.
i wouldn't say old lady ,i would have said nervous old man.lol.
i would honestly say smart man,not everyone cares about there car, or can understand's how much work goes into them.
so if driving carefully until you get used to the car,is your way off doing thing's,so be it.don't get pressured into driving it harder than you are ready too.
as most peolpe can tell i have little regards for my car and am looking for a good excuse to build my dream car, untill then i will just have to keep betting all you turbo and supergharged boy's with my little smokey 2386 aspo legend.
over and out from little smokey.
p.s
thank's for posting up more vid's.hellbugged
the thing i love about the vid's that everyone post's,is the commentry in the background and emotional responses.
it sound's like the people were just as stoked as i was.
Yes, congrats to everyone involved that made this a great event, with plenty of entrants, spectators and close racing. I think Sunday's racing made up for a soggy Saturday in the pits. Thanks also to Daniel 'jedidan' for his camera prowess - we played games with an in-car camera this year for a bit of fun, here are the links:
I think the Fastest 8 final has already been posted.
Well this year was my first attempt at Drag Racing and I had a ball. I shared the driving with Andrew in the Rat Racer. I managed 3 wins from the 4 runs of racing on sunday.
I'll definately be back to race again next year
