Which of your rides gives you the biggest buzz.
The Bug or the Holden ......
too be totally honest before Rosie came along the commodore was my pride and joy but these days I much prefer to drive rosie, actually she handles roundabouts better as well
🙂
Today I installed a Ipod base to the ashtray, it works really well, saw this on another thread here. I screwed the base to the ashtray and the ipod touch fits snugly in front of the head unit
I bought the base and cable (which ended up being defective) off ebay for $3 so beggars cant be choosy lol
very nice car mate looks really neat. i have some NOS scat
door trims and rear trims that would suite your interior.
hey paul, would you be interested in selling the original radio?
sure pm me
PM sent 😉
My brother picked up a 68 a few weeks back

thanks for the compliment sounds like your brother got a bargain considering I paid considerably more lol
A beautiful day to get rosie out, I washed her armarould all the rubber then cleaned the windows
hey Paul,
Loving checking all the bits and pieces you're up to with Rosie.
Im currently doing my bonnet interior, would u mind posting some pics if you have carpetted/customised the interior at all//
Your ahead of me havent had the interior done yet hoping to later this year all going well
I have been putting off redoing the interior because I have been in two minds on the colour. I originally was going to stick with red however I have always liked blue. I will probably go with a good quality vinyl although leather isnt out of the question.
Don't worry too much of the style but which colour do you like?
i think blue would look nice in your rosie, red seams to over power when you have a white car
Thanks for your opinion I am liking the blue more and more
Well red would match your number plate and your car is called Rosie. You might have to renamed her gluey if you install a blue interior.😂

yes already thought that id change the colour of the plates
Have you considered grey???
Also, be careful using armourall the drying agent in the product can be really destructive to plastics and some rubbers. You dont want to prematurely age those rubbers. Just my 2 cents, i now use a turtle tyre shine spray from big w its more oil based.
I think grey would be a little to light for the car and I do want it to stand out.
Thanks for the type on the rubbers

+1
My preference would also be the blue, but it has to be you that is happy with it. You don't want to get in every day and say, I should have went the other colour. Get what you want !
Kev
I thought rebuilding a VW would be cheap - Shit I was wrong, just don't let the wife know !!!!

Very true Kev, what colour are you going with? have you decided on an upholsterer?
Will definitely go with the blue and a similar style to this
Today Rosie passed rego inspection in flying colours so next is the new upholstery hopefully in July and also looking to get a sidewinder exhaust thanks to Mick who has suggested it would sound much better and if it sounds better it has to go faster right??????
here is the style of seating I have decided on and the seats are identical to mine
And the colour will be blue
Today has Rosie out for a spin, had two others in the car and the front tyres were rubbing on the guards when i hit bumps and going around corners so i think I will install one of these
Narrow beam
DO IT!! Then you can go a couple inches lower while you're at it. ;-)
