Found another one....

Found another one in my brothers back yard, we are going to go halves in the rat project. His body, 56 standard in unrestored condition. It has had a few bumps and scrapes but is in quite good condition all we did was give it a good clean and a clear coat. The pan came from my 63 with a narrowed disc brake front end, 1300 std gear box with solid mounts. The engine will come out of my 64 (ran at warwick 10.21) this will be the thrash at the track car as I don’t want to gut my beetle every time. We are going to have a run sometime before Christmas so if anyone is heading out to willobank please post a note on the site. I will throw up a couple of pics when it finished.

Yeh Matt very stoked, happness only lasted a day though, my Passat shit itself yesterday arvo and it now at VW getting injectors, pump and harness.... ( no new slicks and seat for Warwick)

Mine did too.... there go's the tax return $4900. Check out the vw watercooled forum and click on the " list of injector problems" thread. at least this will be my first real expence in four years ( it was all paid for buy work previously) I will have it back at the end of the week and can tow the beetle to Warwick for the drags

I have a couple of changes for Sydney, upgrade on the gearbox Dave Butler ( massive thank you Dave!!) has converted an IRS box to swinger with a 3rd and 4th upgrade ( can't remember the numbers) , drop spindles up front, new brakes on the back with a couple of new steel lines too and a new heavier pressure clutch. Test and tune next Sat night to see if it will run a little quicker.
I hate to wish my life away but, man I can't wait for the road trip and racing in Sydney!!!!!
