Flashy '65 bug...

surfpig · 2011-08-25T13:22:12+00:00

i bought this beetle about a month ago from Rhett(phat bug) from bendigo. me and dad decided to travel all the way down there and trailer it home, it was quite a trip! haha. since then i tried to get the blueslip and failed for having a stop light out, battery not covered and loose, spotty on the bonnet, and an oil leak.. all reletively easy to fix. so i did the battery, replaced a fuse, and cleaned the engine up and thought id give it another go. no good. so i ended up getting the main engine seal replaced and while i was at it the master cylinders in both rear brakes, and it passed easily. and heres a few photos of when i picked it up, the drive home and the first drive to work with the NSW plates. its been lowered too. has 4.5" narrowed beam with adjusters in the front, and just one click in the rear. im planning on getting drop spindles and going two clicks in the rear, but im unsure because its my daily and i need to be able to drive it too haha. im taking it down to the blue mountains this weekend, all should be okay.. i hope haha. anyway thanks for looking.

it does bolt straight in... but you need about 2 quick shifters for it to work. and should use a splitty shifter.

i have a bay one if you want that but i dont know how well it would work.
