Here is the Micro tech mounted, the oil filter bracket I made and the front tow hook down on the front end as with an open top vehicle I can't have one up on the cage.
Hey guy's, we are pushing extremely hard this time, right in the middle of final assembly with only a couple hiccups. No time for photos will put some up later when I get a chance.
Sweet, gotta be looking fwd to that.
I like what you have done with the buggy mate. You have defo put some hours in. Look fwd to seeing it out on the track.

OMG, it runs! Cam all run in now, got a small oil leak to deal with in the morning then off to the Dyno for a tune before Sydney. What a massive effort it has taken to get this far. A big thanks to Mick, Matt, Dad, Aaron, Mr Butler, Troy and everyone else who had a part in the final stretch of this build I couldn't have done it without you guys!!!
Onya Dave, if anyone had seen Dave in the last few weeks walking around looking like the walking dead, you soon realise what a mammoth effort he put in himself.... While the rest of us more or less worked in shifts, mine was all day and night on my 3 day weekends, matts was during the week but Dave did all of them... Awesome work bro. Give yourself some mega credit.
Fantastic Dave - looking forward to seeing it run on the weekend (providing licencing is not an issue).....well done to everyone involved in getting the buggy to this point - hope it all goes smoothly from here on in.

You going to be ready for Sydney after setback on dyno? Don't give up dude stick with it!! Troy had 4 sessions on the dyno before the type 3 was ready to go. First was clutch let go, then gearbox milled teeth off 3rd, injectors sprung a leak then finally got it going!! Even then we couldn't put the boost we wanted into it as the injectors were almost at 100% duty cycle and wastegate spring would only give max 18psi.
The joys of building a quick aid cooled vw!!!
ACCEPT THAT SOME DAYS YOU ARE THE PIDGEON AND SOME DAYS YOU ARE THE STATUE
All back together, got a Dyno session booked for 6.30 in the morning on the way to Sydney. Cutting It a little fine but as everyone keeps saying to me "thats racing". Looking forward to catching up with everyone on Friday!
