I believe that the staging lights at Warwick were "tighter" on the weekend than the lights I'm used to in Sydneyhumpty wrote:Nah Wayne.... That doesn't look like too much fun!....westi wrote:it balances the cells.there are 16 cells and they can all be charged individually.a quick charge will read ready but may have only charged 10 of 16 cells properly.
no biggy evry now and then drop it to your local rc hobby shop and ask them for it to be balance charged.

Thank you Henry.... That's the sort of advise I was looking for... You have raised a very important point I had not considered..... I often do have help around the house and at the track, but more often not...HS618 wrote:Depends if you have help at the track (and home) to remove and install it. I can't remember off the top of my head, but as long as it's secure, you'll be fine. Also check the book for a battery cut-off switch (the little red on/off Narva or Hella ones workl fine), I can't remember the ET cut-off, but you might need one of those too for National events. I can drop you off a Rulebook if you want next time I'm down there, or PM me your postal address Simon and I'll flick it off when I get home next week.humpty wrote:Is there a (ANDRA) ruling on how batteries are to be mounted?

And no Wayne.... I didn't get to the track on Wednesday night.... I had a very busy day with a client (I'm making bespoke chandeliers for their new house), which nailed my prep time.... So in the eve, I caught up with a heap of Dubbers at a burger place instead.
Working on the car today so it's ready for next Wednesday.

Here's another one for the gurus.....
What sort of factors/considerations/alterations should one put in place to change over to Methanol?

And what sort of maintenance schedule is involved with living with this stuff?
