Here it is! Due to a very finance concious wife, this is probably the best gearbox i will ever own! Just picked it up from the man himself MR Butler! I might even paint it this time.... Thanks Dave, you're a legend!
NEW Albins 1st (3.0 : 1) and 2nd (2.0 : 1 ) mainshaft and gear set.
NEW first gear shim and set end floats of all gears.
Drill hubs for oil holes.
NEW 2lt circlips on main shaft.
Modify 002/1800 bus hub for your 3rd and 4th
Metal caged needle bearings.
2lt pinion and main shaft bearings
NEW chrome moly pinion nut
Steel forks to replace the brass ones.
Welded the hubs on 3rd and 4th.
Welded the clutch fork properly, haha.
NEW bronze bush for the clutch fork.
Various NEW nust and washers.
So now the gearbox consists of all this plus a super diff and heavy duty side plate.
Christmas has come early....nice work Mick
Sweet man!!!! Santa got both of us boxes for chrissy!!!!!!
What ring & pinion you running???
I have no idea.... 😂 I give the box to Dave butler, he knows what I'm doing with it, I get it back.... Maybe he can answer that.

Are you running a decklid with the Turbo?
Yeah, I'll find some way to attach it.
we gonna need a deck lid for Sydney? (Don't want to dig up old shit here)
Swingaxle sounds the bollocks.
Rules say yes but i ran without one last year as it was soooooooooooooooo hot and nothing was said.
Ha ha! and you were working on it the whole time so it was just in your way!😂
Shutup😬😬😬
That meet wasnt a good one for me. But the drinking after was😀😀

Mine fits at treat....
Would like to cut a hole in it for a screamer pipe in the next incarnation....
No way I can get a decklid on mine. I can't see how they can make you run one unless you're running a street car in a street series or street meet. Maybe some clarification before we get there would be nice otherwise I'll be knocking one up from alfoil and painting it black.

Mick is using his original 4.125 diff ratio.
Based on his budget, I chose the weakest link to upgrade,
which I felt was his original first gear.

Hey Humpty, did the deck lid close when you were running the dcoe side draught ? Just curious.....
Frosty got told to fit a decklid at Willowbank during a TnT.
Page 89 in the rule book. Super street/sedan
"with the exception of 1948 and earlier traditional hot rod type vehicles,no external panels such as bonnet or fenders may be removed"
I would start making that foil one just in case stanly😂😂
I'm not super street. Surely my big wing could be considered a decklid.
At a ANDRA event you would be. Some officals can be a bit picky. im not saying you have to have one, but i would have something ready just incase
Might have to get hold of a donor decklid and cut it up then. If that fails I'll make sure I bring a catering pack of a foil.
Aren't you supposed to be asleep?
Yep!!!!!!! Im not a good sleeper when im away but.
Not enough beer then
Never enough!!!!!😂
