Hi There, after trying to build a dragster last year (that's another story) I have decided to do a tube car. I have been running a 63 beetle with a quickest of 13.69sec and this is just not enough so the plan is to build a new one using the engine, box and front end with some up grades in the future. Looking round the net there are some really cool budget builds and some of these home built machines are inspiring. Over the last 3 weeks I have got it off the ground and starting to look the part. "Dummkopf" it already has a name

Green with a massive motor....!!!
No really, i'm going Teal Blue and white with a trim of orange. I have had a spray painter (friend) do a mock up on the computer and it looks real nice. Just have to wait another day till i can get my gas bottle swapped over.

Body is in undercoat... rear guards, front clip and doors need a coat but will have to wait till this dam weather clears up.

I had the andra tech inspector have a look at the frame today and he gave it the all clear. YEW!!! Now i can paint this thing and get going on the bodywork. Will post some pics once the fame is painted.
