Drive chain for the over head cams.68BUS wrote:And what is with the chain?
Does that live inside the engine all the time or is a build thing?

that drive the cams on the head. the shaft to which they are connected to is not a cam but the IMS. That thing with the green o rings is a 2 stage dry pump by the looks of it.68BUS wrote:And what is with the chain?

I remember reading somewhere about plug changes on these motors. Apparently you needed an "asbestos octopus" or you just pulled the whole motor out.... 🤪Craig Torrens wrote:$156k for the motor.........faaark !sander288 wrote:http://www.capricorngroup.net/fileadmin/files/images/capricorn_Anzeige_Motorsport_UK.pdf

You certainly wouldn't buy it for the HP! $ per HP could go a VERY long way at half that budget. Just saw they wanted $19,000 for a crankshaft! and $2200 for a distributor... wow!vlad01 wrote:I was like what kind of engine cost that much?
then I looked, Carrera quad cam, of course. They cost a min of 100k for a rebuild original. So yeah thats not so ridiculous given what they go for.
but still, deep pocket people only.
