-8 all the way dude.
Doesn't cost or weigh much more than -6 really, and no harm in having more fuel flow capacity than you need.
Cry once basically.

I have never had a need to use a return line on my drag cars and have always had the regulator near the carbs . My fuel pressure always stayed pretty steady wherever I set it from 2.5 - 7psi depending on which carbs I ran. I do consider the fuel pump a wear item that I replace every couple years and I rebuild the regulator every year so that I can replace the diaphram and check the spring . If I was driving on the street for prolonged periods of time I might think about a return system but only after I had a problem. I am NOT saying what you guys are doing is not needed for your cars , just that I have been lucky not to need it all these years. Mike McCarthy
p.s. I use Holley pumps and regulators

I had nothing but problems with all the Holley products... But like you said, street cars are different animals.... Most of the fuel control problems I had were with the DCOE (which turned out to be heavliy modified for meth by the PO!), and the need to run a boost refernced FPR with that carb.... Hence the full flow setup.... Most all Holley FPR's are designed to be used a 'dead head'.... But the pumps never lasted very long either.... I now use the Carter pump which is an internally submerged pump that uses the flow of fuel to keep it cool, along with the Aeromotive FPR.... I now have rock solid pressure to the 500dbl Holley, with plenty of flow through my 1/2" ID lines.
Finished making up a new weld in midmount tonight, also gave the gearbox a little love... it might even get a lick of paint tomorrow!
DON'T PAINT !!!!! You better hurry up Warwick is not far away.
Tell me about it! Got 3 months after Sydney and my engine is still in a million pieces at daves place....
Sorry frosty, had to be done! Painted my gearbox today and finally fitted the wing i've had sitting in a box here since warwick last year! it's been good to finally get a bit of shed time the last couple of days!

I've been seeing that pic issue a bit on here of late.... I suspect it's not the computer that the problem, but the forum.... Maybe time for an update admin guys!
Anyway.... Good to see some progress on the car Mick.... Your not gonna know yourself when the boost comes on!
🤪
My pics do that if I post them from my iPhone, that wing should hold a full buffet! 😀
The wing is actually gonna house 2 scoops and the fans to keep the sucker cool!
Heh heh - Upside Down Miss Jane !!!

Still planning on going with the bilge blower type fans ??? Be keen to have a look see at 'em if you are... could work in something else I'm toying with...

Is it still upside down? Yeah still planning on using 2x 235 cfm inline bilge blower fans mounted on top of the wing under a scoop ducting cool air. Maybe you can check them out when you come pick up this damn fuel tank! I tripped over it twice yesterday!😂😂😂

Nice, if have been looking at the Digital for my other motor, are you going to have a crack at tuning it yourself?
Well, it's got pre set maps in it which you can modify. So well get it running and a close tune then take it to the dyno to tune under load on boost.
Good stuff Mick, got everything you need now?
Ha ha! Not quite.... Still need cooling, charging, rods, fuel lines/fittings... That's off the top of my head.
Finally got things moving this weekend, we got off to a rocky start on saturday but nipped it in the butt today! We did a trial assembly of the whole engine, everything seems to fit quite nicely...
Good work guy's...
Not long now mick

Howdy
check the fit of the button's.
The ones I got where sloppy when fitted.
Cheers
Richard
Yeah, we did... Turns out you can't use the Teflon buttons on the wiseco slipper skirt pistons, only Mahle. The pistons come with these spiro lock things which are supposedly the next best thing.
FWIW I have used the Jaycee alloy buttons with wisecos in he past with success. Engine looks great !! Nice crank and case !!
Not using straight cut gears?
This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

Fwiw??? He he!
Nope, no straight cuts. I had planned to but being on a budget I was talked out of it by a reputable builder.
