yeah you could do with some real HP in your car Chris 😉
RodPenrose wrote:Well , Morgan called past last weekend looking for a free engine , so I offered this N/A one to him and he said that it wasn't good enough or fast enough for him . He went looking in the back of my garage and found this one that he likes . If that wasn't good enough for him , he than wanted me to deliver it , so here it is on the back of my truck ready for delivery , ROD.
So am I right in thinking that this is two engines you have or are giving away for free and all they have to do is go drag racing.
Am I missing something here. Are you dieing or do you have a few hail Marys to make up for doing something really bad 😂😂😂😂
Don't get me wrong, I think it is great that you can help others out and it is also promoting VW racing. Just rare to see this sort of thing 👍👍👍👍
Kev
P.S. I will be along soon to pick up those other couple of FREE parts I need 👍😵😁🤪
I thought rebuilding a VW would be cheap - Shit I was wrong, just don't let the wife know !!!!
Kev , yes , the turbo engine has a home and the N/A engine will be going to a home soon , ROD.

Paying it forward is a real feeling of personal achievement, helping someone else make their dreams reality is the payoff😎. I'm realistically to far off for this opportunity & I see some others that could really benefit from Rod's generosity so if it were to be someone that is reasonably established in the sport would it be food for thought that they might consider doing the same for someone else that's at a lower / entry level as a good will gesture.

WOW, two engines. You truely are a generous bloke Rod. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say thank you (Not in a sense of recieving anything, but in a sense that you have shown that there are still legitmate, genuine people out there).
Im not blowing smoke up his ass Craig, but dont forget the buggie that Ryan is running or the circut bug he gave me. Rod has given me a leg up to go racing and im happy to see him giving others a go too. Looking forward to having a run against the new owner soon🥷

as a relative newcomer to this VW scene, can I just say- this doesn't happen anywhere else on earth, never have I seen an engine builder randomly give away an engine. Rod, my hat comes off to you sir. may the engine go to someone deserving, and may it run long and strong.
Thanks guys , just sorting through the last few applicants now . I am trying to let the people that missed out know from myself as courtesy before I post the new owner here . Fabo , you never know what just may pop up in the near future , ROD.

Massive thanks to Rod Penrose Racing for his generosity, I'm stoked that Rod thinks that i'm worthy of an upgrade. The car will need some mods to accommodate the new power and will be ready for the next round of the 1/8 mile series in Gladstone.
Thanks
