Graham, T.W.U. do you have a phone number for them? I will call them tomorrow, I dont want this happening to anyone else!

Yes I paid the $600. Just wanted the whole thing over and done. Ive been far too stressed about the whole thing which cant be good. They would even take the car off the trailer without me paying first.

I will let Karma do its work. 😉

But I will call T.W.U. if I can get the number U2U'd to me, cheers!

I'm fucking around and trying to see his side of things. 😉

But yeah, to get stuffed around like you have been must be very frustrating.

Honestly I think the world is full of Spastic Idiots, some people don't give a FUCK or have any pride in there work any more.

I keep getting letters from Ford to tell me my Car needs to go in and have a Stud checked on the Steering rack.

I've checked it my self and it's safe, but do you think I can find a Dealership that wants to do it. (I tried 3 Dealers)

They Blow me of all the time saying it's a 6 week wait and they need the Car all day, the truth is they don't want to do it because there isn't any money in it for them.

"Wankers" only 3 weeks to go now.

graham wrote:Flying vw after driving interstate for many years myself what are log books a piece of paper you hand on to the d.o.t. for what you have no idea. I do agree with you that you are liable but everyone in there right mind knows that log books are nothing. If you saw my log book you would shake your head in disbeliefe and not once was i ever questioned about it. If you say that the goods will be there on x date and time and it is not you the company will be fined ie. not get payed for the load. Gibbo if it was me I wouldn't of payed them I would of taken the car for a drive driven it in my yard and left it there behind gates. They dont own the vehicle and are only responsible from the pick up address to the delivery address thats it. That way you have the car and they have to chase you for the money. It is a civil matter and the police would not be involved. Then when it went to court you could say about lost wages and damage incurred. Reason I know it happen to me I lost $900 in a load that had the wrong info on it went to x address and no one there had to take it somewhere else thus ran late never got payed and thats the game of interstate. The problem is not the drivers but the companies taking the jobs. Gibbo I hope you never payed them and if you did you can lodge a formal complaint with the T.W.U. who are cracking down about dodgy operators ask for David Prior or Hughie Williams they will have a talk and follow it up. Hope this has helped you out.
Graham.

Thanks for the sermon

But I was driving interstate 6 nights a week when I was 20 years old, until I was 24 then I brought my own Truck and I've had another two since then doing Local.

hey gibbo i don't think many of these companies are big on customer service. All that seems to matter these days is the $$ which is a shame. When we had our kombi transported from sydney to tweed they said it would take about a week.so we said no probs then the next day our sister in law said they had picked it up and it would be in tweed tomorrow.what the.
the problem was we were on holidays for 5 days no one would be at home.
No phone call from the company that day so we called them and they said oh yeah it will be there tomorrow.so in the end we got them to drop it off at the place where we were on holidays.
then when it got there it was dropped about 10 houses up from the house number we gave them & about 7 of us walked up to it the guy just said can someone sign for it (he did not ask for id or anything, it had been pre paid.)
those sort of things shit me

It's a Quote from the Mad Max 1 Movie.

By the wrecker near the Beach when he tries to sell Max some parts for his Sand Man Panel Van.

It means " The faster you want your Car to go the more Money you will need to spend on it."

MORE MONEY MORE SPEED

It's nothing to do with NOSE CANDY

If you are suggesting I'm on Drugs expect a Court date soon.

Dammit,
you got an early!! They look good with the little moustache/monobrow on the front 🙂

I picked mine up on Sat morn from Dave Becker and drove it home on the weekend via the GC show. I got a '71 (I think), you can just make it out in a few of the show pics, its the moss green (and yellow gaff tape) one next to the two tone purple and silver square that won the type 3 award.

Ooops
forgot. I wasn't telling you to not go after those guys. Its just the thread looked like it was going to be one of those"yeah, but I do this for a living' type.
And that wouldn't have helped you get your car or solve the problem.

Good buy........hmmmmmmm.... an oval and a type 3, you aren't dreaming of a splittie as well are you???? this is getting a wee bit eerie (the similarities that is)
