Yes.....ready!!!
I'm sure all the peeps will be down at the beach or local pool while the sun shines....so they want see
I don't have a prob with lesbians work with a couple...and a couple of gays....we have the most wicked talks...very educational and a good laugh...Had the partner of a gay friend asking me what a heterosexual relationship was like....we had the guys at the next table listening ...very rude of them lol
Well, this thread has just destroyed an hour of my working life.
Thank you all 🙂
I would confess a few things, but unfortunately, my tag on here is the same as my name in the phone book.......... maybe I need a rebirth ? Nah.
I can empathise with a few of the things Bugeyedbabe and Jenz have been saying, I lost my grandfather last year, he was always my hero and role model. 2 weeks after my grandfather died, we miscarried after spending 12 months trying to get pregnant ..... talk about a double whammy.
But, while I dont wholly agree with the saying 'whatever doesnt kill you only makes you stronger', you certainly can learn from even the worst experiences in your life and it can make you wiser and expand your horizons sometimes.
Infertility is a horrible rollercoaster to ride, especially from the male side. It has however, made our relationship stronger, blows me away every day how strong my wife is and just makes me love her all the more.
doug
Wow...that's so nice....I hope this go better next time for you..
It's so nice to hear someone say their relationship has become stronger...things are not always easy but sometimes working through the hard bits together make the relationship so much stronger...it deepens the love as you say...so sweet when it happens
I think bugeyedbabe n I might have both been through life threating situations....they do alter you....you do become stronger....material things don't matter so much..well they really never did with me ...
I tend not to look to the future so much and take each day as it comes...and try to keep faith that all will be well in the end ....with the help of a little bit of pixie dust, a few nice dreams ....luv Peter Pan 😀
Yes you can feel volnerable at times......but you work past it...it can be a roller coaster ride...but the dips get easier as you learn to ride them
I would tell you all, but there's another set of confessions which I really would be uncomfortable letting on.
Andrew
i think jenz right, after some serious mishaps u learn....money makes life easier, but it's not everything
i could happily go awol...just so long as i could take my family, so i could make sure they get to share the beauti of it all.
life has dips, that's just it. U have to keep moving thru it, and so long as u don't allow urself to stop for too long, it will all be okay.
As i told jenz, some days all u can do is breathe, and that is enough.
But I know there have been days when even breathing hurt.
I am sorry to here about ur heartache with the whole fertility process. And ur right, such a double whammy would have knocked the breath out of the strongest of ppl.
It is good to hear though u and wife continue to support each other throug it. I knwo sometimes u probably feel u can't talk about it with ppl, perhaps u feel it's selfish to want anyoen to focus on u, when ur wife is hurting to. But at those times, it is important u have someone to chat to, cause if ur not strong, she won't be either.
I'm not saying ignore her....what I am saying is DON'T ignore ur own needs (emotionally)
And never expext that after such life altering events that lfie will return to normal...it never will....because u change.
What happens is u create a new normal...
And jenz, this ones for u, cause I bet u did it, sometimes still do...don't panic if u reach for his aftershave in a supermarket, of hsi favorite coffee/tea/biscuit.
it happens.
But u knwo what happened with my family...we declared "days' For instance on andrews day (anniversary) we all head to ballina, in black (his favorite color) take a picture of him with us, and have a celebration of his life still. It will contineu to everyones wounds have healed
It was the only way I could of helping my family thru....by making them realise that it is okay to celebrate and remember him, and cry for the loss. each person has to take a note of their favorite moment/worst moment, what tehy still miss about the person. This is then put in the memories box...for my mum for later....when she is sad she ready read whatever one she likes...(pink good, black bad, blue what we miss...
We do it for dad too.
hope it helps....

don't just get sad in the loss, celebrate what time was given...
and doug, it's ur choice...if that baby meant so much to u, then allow urself to acknowledge that, and don't let other dictate that you 'should be over it already'
allow the pain, but remember the great things too.
It is a bittersweet experience, but one u have to work thru, otherwise u can't move on. u get stuck in that moment of pain, and it overwhelms u.

Every tear you shed and every word you speak of those no longer here, makes the pain that little bit easier to bare.
this is turning out to be such a sad thread :cry
Shite. This is one thread I should be reading at home 🙂 why is my monitor all bleary ? oh, hang on wipe the eyes, there it is , all better 🙂
You know I didnt really expect such strong response, its incredible how close the people on this forum get - esp given that most of us never actually meet. Thanks for all the kind words people.
What hurts most for me is the continuous struggle to be able to support my wife in a battle that I cant influence ? if that makes sense. I cant take an active part in the treatment, I can only try and support when things dont work, and try and keep positive and be strong. I only wish that my wife could find this sort of support as easily as I can - the clinic we go through is not strong in counselling quality in my opinion.
As an Engineer, I live my working life solving problems. It gets ingrained into the way you run your life, and the way you approach your challenges. Its absolutely impossible to explain what it is then like to be hit with a problem like this, where you get to the highest level of treatment and then its in the hands of the gods. Nothing more you can do...... you're in a cycle daze and the world stops for you. You realise all of a sudden that 6 months have gone by without you doing anything for yourselves, its unreal.
Its actually spooky sometimes, to get so wrapped up in things that you lose track of the rest of your life.
Thanks for the opportunity to have a little vent, it is cathartic and it does help.
God Bless you all.
And by the way - woo hoo, now I am Major Ivan Hirst Incarnate !!!!
I have no idea how Barls and that sort of people get so many posts so quick.....
Oh, hang on, I have read this thread 🙂
you need to join in on these enlightening threads more often... lol
Goodness you are slow!! 🙂
okay, i'm got from 150 to 600 in less than a week...
as for supporting ur wife, have u worked out that sometimes there is nothing u can say, and nothing u can do to help, except hug, hand her a tissue, and take her to a movie...
and if she won't go out, then movies at home, with pizza & candle lights...don't forget the good cutlery and milk in wine glasses...
followed by a nice bath for her, with candles and scents....and no getting lucky, just cuddle her in bed...
make her feel 100%....
she feels alone, so u have to reconnect sometimes....but don't tell her ur doing it hard, just be there...
and if all else fails, get her online to us...

🥷 And who the helled parked the Mitsubishi "Prancer" under my house??? 🥷

Or for when you need a pick-me-up, a thread called bad things that happen to bad people... but, hang on that never happens.. hmmmm
Ta for the advice, an you are right, its usually the simple things that help the most.
Oh shit, I really am slow - I've been a member here for 2 1/2 years and only 850 posts ? eek.
I wonder if that because I only read this at work, and sometimes try to get some work done...... nahhh, must be a coincidence !

I'm trying to get thngs done around here today...not even gunna try n search 😀
Goodness but I have to keep coming back to see what's happening....
Nah...tell her your doing it hard too...it's nice to know your man has feelings and what they are...men spend way too much time holding themselves together and thinking they are the only ones responsible for everything...life's shared thing....don't underestimate a woman and it becomes easier
A woman can always tell when things aren't being said....it's like a bait and we have to get to it once detected...in subtle ways to start...like leading questions 'Sweetheart is everything OK.......are you sure. *hug*.....I have a feeling that.....*pours a drink*.....do you want to talk.... 😉 *man runs to shed n hides taking drink*😀
He knows he's a gonner....
I think he has been very game so far on this forum of all places.... Well we do have to sift through thousands of confessions to find his......lol
LMAO. I never run to hide in the shed !!! honest.
WE are lucky, we have been together for almost 11 years (we are only 25) and know each other pretty well (most of the time). I tell her everything. Sometimes things I probably shouldnt, but thats what marriage is all about - you both lean on each other when you need to.
CoopGirl, I'm disturbed. Honestly.
And bugeyedbabe - the wifey is not keen on Hitlers Revenge 🙂 Hence she's not on the forum, although a year or two ago, I did manage to get her on the chat room.
Bugger I knew I forgot to mention something.
Secretly, I like lesbians too 🙂 hahahahahaha, dont we all ?
...well I did try a search on cross dressing coopgirl....women panties...not yet 😀
