Wasn't the term "scrutineering" used very loosley in the early days?

Steve, I hear what you're saying, but that drag car (the Flying Flea, am I right?) was as street-legal and as worthy a winner of the "Berg Trophy-with-no-rules" as some other vehicle(s) that ran times that day and would have been given the trophy.Originally posted by 1302Steve
The rules were designed for gentlemen but when someone really wants a trophy and is pissed off about being beaten by a 1880 cc Targa car they will make complaints and bolt number plates to their chubby chums drag car (isn't that fraud), sure it was a stripped down bug. Liable laws restrict me from naming names
